At the same time I think it should be clearly understood that seniority by length of service amongst officers of the same position and salary, such as the four Assistant Masters herein referred to, should not give any of them a claim to perform any particular duties, but that it should be left to the Head Master, who is alone responsible for the efficient management of the Central School, to assign to each Assistant Master the duties which in his opinion he is best qualified to undertake. In all future appointments to these posts it would be better to describe them as Assistant Masters instead.
